Pastor Appreciation Month

City Church,

As you might know, October is Pastor appreciation month.  This is a time where I always like to honor those who serve as Pastors at City Church.  Being a pastor is truly a calling from the Lord that we do not take for granted. 

Twenty-five years ago, this fall, I started on full time staff at City Church.  Yes, I did say twenty-five years ago!  Man, where has time gone?  Through the many ups and downs in ministry, I have had one constant understanding—God, you have called me here!  What a journey it has been.  I am still humbled that God called me here and gives me the opportunity to serve this wonderful community. 

I want to take time to honor the pastors who serve at City Church weekly with me.  These pastors have been called by God and equipped by the Holy Spirit to lead and serve our local body.  They understand first and foremost that they do this for an audience of one, the Lord.  They minister before the people on behalf of God.  I am so grateful for the pastors of our church!
