City Church 2024 and Beyond!

City Church 2024 and Beyond!

Family, there is a lot going on at City Church, and I wanted to make sure we did our best to communicate with you about all of it! First, let me say that 2024 has been an incredible year for our church.  With only a few days left of this year, I want to say again what an honor it is to pastor this amazing community!

Please take some time to read over the below information, so you can see what is happening in 2024 and beyond at City Church:

  • CHRISTMAS EVE EVE

We are having our traditional candlelit service on Monday, December 23.  Invite your family and friends to join you at 6pm or 7:30pm.

Nursery and preschool environments will be open at the 6pm service only.  As a reminder, we will have normal services on December 22 and only one service on December 29 at 11:15am.

  • Finish Strong

As we end this year, we want to lay a strong financial foundation for next year.  I am asking you to join me by praying about giving a special end-of-year gift. Please understand, no amount is too small to give because when we all do our part, we can accomplish so much!.

All end-of-year giving must be postmarked or in the church's possession by midnight December 31 to be eligible for the 2024 tax year.

  • Reading Playlist

On January 6, we are starting a 16-week reading plan through the Old Testament prophets.  We will have everything laid out for you.  This will be a 5 day-a-week plan with two days off to catch up and reflect each week.

  • 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

On January 8, we will join several other churches in Chattanooga and begin 21 days of prayer and fasting.  We have daily booklets available for this journey that you can pick up starting December 29 at the 11:15am service.

  • Vision Sunday 2024

I want to ask that you make plans to attend this special day—Sunday, January 12! The leadership team at City Church feels strongly that God has spoken to us about the vision for our church, and we will be sharing this vision at both the 9:30am and 11:15am services!  Don’t miss out!

Church, as you can see, there is a lot going on, so we wanted to do our best to make sure you were informed. Like I said in my sermon this past Sunday—hold moments close, and let’s be people who share joy with others!

The best is still ahead!

Pastor Shannon
