Finish Well…Start Strong

City Church Family,

Let me start off by saying how honored I am to be Lead Pastor at City Church Chattanooga.  2023 in so many ways has been an incredible year for us as a church!

We started the year with 21 days of prayer and fasting which was a special time of spiritual growth for us all. Then, we shared in a community night for Good Friday in Collegedale. Over the summer, we hosted Kids Camp.  We also hired a new Student Pastor and had a great student retreat a few weeks ago. Even amongst all of that, we were able to support mission work locally and globally, and we met together weekly where God showed His great love toward us as we continued in our spiritual formation.   

We have come to the end of another year, and I wanted to ask for your help.  Currently, we are right on track to meet our projected 2023 budget for this year.  As a church, we always want to finish well and start strong as we head into a new year, so I want to ask everyone to take a step in giving and allow God to speak to you on how you can be generous in these last couple months of the year.  This step will look differently for everyone, but it could look like giving for the first time or like making a special gift for the end of the year.  Your generosity matters!

This year, we have focused on the word, “Rhythm.”  We have spent much time talking about how God wants to grow us through the spiritual rhythms in our lives.  Make no mistake about it; generosity is a spiritual rhythm we have been called to practice.
