What time does the Nursery open?
You may bring your child to the Infant Nursery, Toddler I, or Toddler II class 15 minutes before each service starts.
First Service 915 am
Second service at 11 am
Wednesday Night at 630 pm

How are the children divided by age?
Infant: 6 weeks to 12 months
Toddler I: 13 to 24 months
Toddler II: 25 to 36 months

Will my child have the same teacher(s) each week?
While your child may not have the same set of teachers each week, normally he/she will see familiar faces each Sunday. Several of our workers/volunteers serve 2 or 4 times each month. They may serve the same service or rotate services each week.

How will you contact me if my child needs me?
If your child becomes inconsolable or isn’t feeling well, your pager will vibrate letting you know that you are needed. Pagers will work in all buildings on our campus.

How does the Nursery keep parents involved in their child’s experience at City Church?
At the beginning of each lesson series, a Parent Page will be given to parents, which explains what their child will be learning. A craft that corresponds to the lesson will be completed and sent home on Wednesdays. Periodically, a sheet including creative suggestions in spending time together with your child will be sent home. These items are usually placed in your child’s bag. Parents are also asked to volunteer 2-3 times a year in the Nursery.

Is there a private area available for nursing mothers?
Yes. Go to the Infant Nursery check-in counter. You will be shown to a room where you’ll find a quiet area designed specifically for nursing mothers. Inside you’ll find rocking chairs, a changing table, and a live video feed of the worship service in the Central Auditorium. If you have any other needs, please feel free to ask one of the Nursery volunteers or staff.

When will my child be promoted out of the Nursery?
We promote children out of Toddler II Nursery each quarter. Once a child turns three, he/she is promoted (on the next promotion date) to Abba Street, our ministry for preschoolers. Feel free to check out the Abba Street information page.

How can I volunteer in the Nursery?
There are positions available where you can serve. These include teaching, co-teaching, being a baby comforter, and much more. Each worker/volunteer is screened and will be trained. Just contact the Nursery Director below if you are interested.
