God’s Goodness

Hey, CC FAM!

As I sit in my office today and reflect on this past weekend, I am blown away at God’s goodness to our church. We had 4 gatherings over this past weekend, and they were all special in their own way.

Good Friday Chattanooga at the Signal was the best one yet. Many don’t know this, but Good Friday Chattanooga is a 4+ year vision that we have been stewarding in our city. Here at City Church, we have a desire to bring churches together and reflect on the cross in the heart of our city. Ten churches came together this year to reflect on the cross, and this was such a special moment.

Then, our three Easter services were a blast. The energy in the room was electric as we celebrated that our King is Alive! The volunteers and staff did an amazing job of helping everything come together. The kids has so much fun in City Kids as they learned about the resurrection of Jesus, got a new CK shirt, and took family photos with live bunnies. Smiles were everywhere!!

The message that God gave me to preach on Jesus being our firm foundation really seemed to connect with those in attendance. My heart is so full because I was able to play a small part in what God did this weekend. I never want to take for granted what God is doing at City Church.

Next week, I start a new series called, “Stubborn Habits.” This series should be a fun one to say the least, so don’t miss out, and I will see you this Sunday!

Grace and Peace,

Pastor SC
